The Exhibition

A family friendly place to visit. At U-boat Story, you will be able to look into the U-boat, now in four sections with glass viewing partitions, view its amazing interior and discover its surprisingly well preserved artefacts including a rare Enigma machine.

Through the exhibition's interactive and audiovisual exhibits you will gain a unique insight into life on board a submarine during wartime.

Hear interviews with the crew who served on U-534 and gain an insight what life would have been like on board. See her amazing recovery operation. Take on the challenges offered by our interactive exhibits such as decoding an Enigma message, identifying ships and marine animals by listening to them or making our model submarine dive and surface smoothly.
